The Threipmuir Reservoir lies to the south of Balerno and when we placed the cache, was packed with geese making the most of the last of the summer. This cache is hidden amongst the vegetation lining the north shore.
Take the road south out of Balerno. there is a visitors carpark with trails out to the reservoir and also, if you are ambitious, the path to "A hike (or cycle ) in the Pentland Hills".
The cache is close to the shoreline where the pines end.
