The view from this cache are outstanding, you can see the coast
line, St Tropez, Port- Grimaud, and the out lying hills.

This rocky peak used to be a refuge for the people of the region
for ages, since it was easy to defend.
The fortress of Grimaud was mentioned first in the 11th century,
the northwest tower was built in this period. The ramparts were
built over many years, from the beginning of the 12th century until
the 14th century.
In the 15th century the castle was transformed by the family Cossa.
Soon after it was destroyed during the wars of the region.
In the middle of the 17th century the family Castellance rebuilt
it, today you can still see the 2 towers.
The castle returned to ruins during the French Revolution

Ce sommet rocheux a utilisé pour être un refuge pour les gens de la
région pour les âges, puisque c'était facile à défendre.
La forteresse de Grimaud a été premièrement mentionnée dans le 11e
