Geocache Description:

After World War II the city of Berlin was divided in four sectors. The American, British and French sector were part of the western system while the Soviet sector was part of the communist system in the East. Aug 13th 1961 the Berlin Wall was starting to be built.

About three decades later the Hated wall would fall.

At 6:53 pm on Nov. 9th 1989 a member of the new East German government was asked at a press conference when the new East German travel law comes into force. He answered : "Well as far as I can see....straightaway, immediately." Thousands of East Berliners went to the border crossings. The people demanded to open the border, and at 10:30 pm the border was opened.

The owner of this bit of history had shipped a chunk of the wall to his house in Hope Id. In order for you to log this cache, email me with what is painted on the wall. Please respect owners property while viewing wall. Thank you and have fun!!!!!
