Norris Peak is the site of a past forest service fire lookout tower. Enjoy the view. Best route is from Log Porch Road (Forest service road) off of Hwy 44 west of Rapid City.
The cache is an ammo containter hidden in one of several rock piles that are scattered around the hilltop. The original contents included the following: A camera, take your picture, but leave the camera; Log book & pencils.
