Geocache Description:

This Cache is in Bedelands Farm Nature Reserve. The reserve is made up of wildflower meadows and Woodland. Many people including us walk their Dogs here. Ellathedog loves this place as most dogs are off the lead and play with her. To see the meadows at their best you need to go late spring to mid summer.

The entrance to Bedelands Farm Nature Reserve is on Leylands Park, off Leylands Rd, Burgess Hill. Park in the Car Park next to Southdown Rovers Football Club
N50 58.013' W000 07.549' The cache is the opposite side of the reserve about 3/4's of a mile away.

Walk across the the football field towards the NW corner, enter the wood, over the metal bridge and past Ella's muddy pool.

At the cross of the paths turn left and over a small wooden plank bridge. If you see a big fallen tree soon you are on the correct path.

When you emerge from the wood you walk along the edge of Ella's running field. There is a wooden walkway half way along if it is wet.

Keep on going until you walk into the big wood. (The information sign will tell you where it is. Keep the little pond on your right.

At the end is the little fairy bridge with the style into the Butterfly and Buttercup field. You should be able to hear running water. Away in the distance is a hedge row with a large field behind it. You should be walking more or less in an Easterly directon. Into the woods again with Sondheim on a path only visible from close to. There are actually two which go in a loop. You need the one with the most northerly entrance to the wood.

You are now close. Abandon hope all ye who expect you GPS to work in here.

Follow the path and at an earth bank take the right turn (south). Run up the next mud hill you see before you and run down the other side a few times as we do for fun (or go round it if you're boring) until you decide to climb down the western side into the trees. You might be able to see a very big fallen tree. If not push through the saplings in a SW direction till you trip over it!

Happy hunting
