The cache is on a site where Oliver Cromwell used to house imprisoned Catholic clergy from all over the country after the English Statute of 1655 declared them guilty of high treason. Here they awaited transportation to the West Indies and other remote places.
The cache is now a 10 cm pet tubebox that initially contained:
- The usual Logbook + Pens
- a Dubliners-CD
- a set of playing cards
- an Inishbofin Keychain
- Essence of Guinness
- 3 'silver' and 2 'gold' coins for life-role-playing.
- a lighter
Note on cache maintenance: "This is a vacation cache but i'll be able to maintain it at least once a year. Given the remote location and the expected low frequency of visits i figured this will be enough.
Note2: unfortunately i had a stroke and i haven't been able to maintain the cache for the last two years. I someone local is interested i can pass it over to him/her
