1. Geocaching-Letterbox Deutschlands

Hier einige kleine Navigationsaufgaben, die komplett ohne GPS zu lösen sind. Ein Peilkompass und mindestens 9km Sichtweite sind Voraussetzung, um die Aufgaben erfüllen zu können, also diese Suche nur bei relativ klarem Wetter beginnen! Die Aufgaben dürften inkl. Fussmarsch ca. 40 Minuten deiner Zeit in Anspruch nehmen.

Parke deinen Wagen bei o. a. Koordinaten (Kleve, Parkplatz Nähe Staatliches Forstamt, Nimweger Strasse) und gehe 500m nach NNO zum 'Kupfernen Knopf'. Dort angelangt hast Du eine schöne Aussicht über den Klever Forstgarten. Stelle dich so, dass Du den 'Haken' des Denkmals im Rücken hast und peile dann die drei Kirchturmspitzen an, die von diesem Punkt aus zu sehen sind. Notiere dir die Gradzahlen.

Weiter geht es zum 'Sternberg' (ca. 270m zurück bis zur 'Maria', dann 160m nach links). Oben angekommen, siehst du in einer Richtung die Schwanenburg. Stelle dich mit dem Rücken zum Baum und peile ihre Spitze an. Addiere nun alle 4 Gradzahlen, du erhälst so den Wert X.

Nun kannst du dich auf den Weg zum Cache machen. Wähle am Sternberg den Weg, der von dort in ca. X° abgeht und laufe diesen X Meter (grosse Schritte) entlang, beginnend ab dem kleinen Holzgeländer am Fuss des Hügels. Dort angekommen, findest du auf der linken Seite eine grüne Markierung an der dem Weg abgewandten Seite einer Buchenwurzel. Schaue dich um, in ca. 5m Entfernung (30°) findest Du die Letterbox. Bitte beachte, dass der Stempel kein Tauschobjekt ist; Letterboxer sollten ihr Stempelkissen mitbringen. Achte beim Heben bitte darauf, dass dich keine Waldschrate beobachten und gib Dir Mühe, die Box wieder gut getarnt zu hinterlassen, Danke!

Falls du den empfohlenen Parkplatz benutzt hast, kommst du dorthin zurück, indem du den Weg weitere 100m bis zum Ende läufst, dann rechts gehst (am Waldspielplatz entlang) und nach 440m links abbiegst...

PS: Alle obigen Entfernungsangaben sind Wegmeter, nicht Luftlinie. Die Gesamtstrecke beläuft sich auf 2km.

Here some little navigation tasks, which can be solved completely without GPSr. A compass with bearing function and at least 9km visual range are the conditions to be able to solve the tasks, so please begin this search only by relative clear weather! The tasks should take up approx. 40 minutes of your time.

Park your car at the abovementioned coordinates (Kleve, car park quite near the stateowned forest office, Nimweger Strasse) and go 500m NNE to the 'copper button'. There you will have a great view over the Klever forest-garden. Place yourself so that you have the 'hook' of the monument behind your back and then take the bearings of the three church towers, which can be seen from this point. Note their degree numbers.

Walk on to the 'star hill' (approx. 270m back up to 'Maria', then 160m to the left). Arrived above, you can see in one direction the 'swan castle'. Place yourself with the back to the tree and take the bearing of its spire. Now add all 4 degree numbers, you obtain the value X.

Now you can start the way to the cache. Select at the star hill the path, which leaves in approx. X° and walk it along for X meters (large paces), starting from the small wood railing at the foot of the hill. There arrived, you can find at the left side of the path a green marking at the backside of a beechroot. Now look around, in approx. 5m distance (30°) you'll find the box. Please note that the stamp is not a trade objekt; Letterboxer should bring along their stamp pad.

If you used the recommended car park, you can return there by walking the way further 100m up to the end, then go right (along the forest playground) and after 440m turn left...
