This is the 1st cache hidden at Fowlers Hollow State Park. Parking @N40 16.315 W77 34.874 From parking take the red-blazed Alfarata Trail over the bridge & across 2 mowed areas into the woods.

This is a pleasant woodland walk of .50 miles round trip and can be completed by families with small children. Depending on the weather, there can be some mud. Fowlers Hollow: In the late 1800s, the picnic area was the site of a sawmill that supplied lumber & bark products to the forest industry. The Perry Lumber Co. Railroad left the park to the south & wound its way out toward what is now PA Rte. 274 near the Bryner Ranger Station in New Germantown. 'ALFARATA' was the name of the climax locomotive used by the Perry Lumber Co. Railroad in its operations. Theme of cache is flamingos & there is a nice brand new beany baby brand flamingo as a special FF's premium. Enjoy!( THANK YOU CCCOPPERAGENCY FOR LETTING US ADOPT THIS CACHE!!!!)
