This is the first cache in Sahalahti / Tämä on Sahalahden ensimmäinen kätkö
Verkkojärvi cache is located in the Laipanmaa wilderness area.
At 1865, Matts was born here as the sixth child of a family with ten children. Matts was the last inhabitant here. He was afraid of two things: fire and frogs. To protect himself against these threats, he built a stone wall around his wooden cottage. The cottage is long gone, but the ruins of the stone walls still fight the test of time.
The cache is a plastic candy box. Initially this cache contains the following items:
- blank CR-RW disk
- painting brush
- ice scraper
- spare batteries for GPSr
Also there are the obvious
- logbook
- pen and a sharpener
- geocache instructions
Verkkojärven kätkö sijaitsee Laipanmaan erämaa-alueella.
Matts, eli Verkkojärven Matti, syntyi täällä vuonna 1865 kuudentena lapsena kymmenlapsiseen perheeseen. Matti pelkäsi tulta ja sammakoita, ja suojautui niitä vastaan rakentamalla kiviseinät puisen torppansa ympärille. Puutorppa on aikoja sitten kadonnut, mutta kiviseinien rauniot yhä vastustavat ajan hammasta.
Kätkö on muovinen karkkirasia. Alkuperäinen sisältö on:
