Vancouver Decachelon - Rampart Scaling Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Wizard of Ooze: As there has been no response from the cache owner to a reviewer request for an update in nearly five months, the cache is being archived to open the area to other cachers.

The geocaching guidelines include a section on disabled caches: http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance
You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to ensure it is in proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.), or posts a Needs Maintenance log. Temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have addressed the problem. You are permitted a reasonable amount of time – generally up to 4 weeks – in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing. If you decide not to replace a missing cache, please archive the listing.
Geocache Description:

Vancouver Decachelon is a multi-stage series of caches, brought to you by the eleven members of the Decachelon Team. Each cache in the series contains a clue. Collect all the clues and you just might find yourself on the winner's podium.

As reception may not be the best where the cache is actually hidden, the given waypoint places you at the top of a flight of stairs which take you down to the "crypt". Go down to the third landing on the set of stairs, where the grey hand-rail turns 90 degrees to the right. Orient your body to the left 90 degrees, and you will be facing the "ramparts", reminiscent of those European castle walls which medieval olympians would scale when sacking cities.

Bring your own pencil.
NOTE: Remember to note down the Decachelon clue in this micro, which is written in black marker on the inside of the canister lid. The black straight line orients the bottom baseline of the curving letter written down there.
