The cache has been moved away from the gate. You shouldn't have to open any gates to get to this cache.
The theme of this cache is a jewerly store (read the history in the cache for more information). Leave items pertaining to a jewelry store, i.e. broken watches, paste jewelry (or real) etc.
There is a dirt road you can pull onto from Hwy 59, about 3 miles out of Hurricane. Follow Hurricane directions to Lake Powell out of town. This cache is a short (or long if you get lost) walk from the road. There are a couple of pioneer archeology sites on the property, a dam (no water) and a kiln that dates back to about 1930’s. The owners of the land have given permission to use this site as geocache.
Rattlesnakes and scorpions are native to the area, so walk carefully and carry a big stick.
