Geocache Description:

Located in a isolated nature preserve, the cache can be accessed via horse trails, and makes a delightful walk.

Park at the rear of St Matthew's Church parking lot (41 13.292' 73 39.316') at the corner of Rt22 and Bedford Center Road, and walk down through church land into a hemlock ravine along the Beaverdam river, passing an open air chapel along the way. Once at the river, cross the bridge and follow the BRLA horse trails into the Arthur Ketchum Memorial Sanctuary. On your return, take a few minutes to walk upstream along the ravine, you will encounter a bench halfway up this enchanting walk, and four chairs set out beside a lovely pool at the end of the trail.

The cache is at the top of the hill, just off the horse trail. You may see signs saying access is for BRLA members only, but I have been assured by two different BRLA officials that walkers are welcome on their trails. The cache itself is a 30 caliber ammo can and is chock full of goodies. Please hide it as you find it.
