Formerly Stage 14 in the GHMCMC Series, now a standalone traditional cache.
Located in Thornton Bales Conservation Area, which is known for it's killer hills and the Hundred Steps.
Cache elevation: 337m
Hidden over four years ago, initially as a brainstorm of Flick, the GHMCMC has officially much run it's course as a cache series and has been archived. This individual cache will remain, for generations to come. (Ok, not really... I just like the area, and Flick has not found it yet!)
Welcome to Thornton Bales Conservation Area! Oh, you recognise that name? Many associate it with one word... HILLS! (Not to mention The 100 Steps of Newmarket: GC33F9, which appear to have been repaired.... 102 at last count!)
A short ;-) 700 meter hike in from parking... The cache is a Camouflage Taped & Painted Rectangular 1L Lock & Lock container. This cache is the starting location for the Golden Horseshoe Travel Bug!
Parking is available in the lot at N44 01.628 W79 31.156
NOTES:
- Lots of Hills, prepare to climb!
- Family friendly.
- Bicycles allowed.
