Geocache Description:

Cache is in the lawrence swamp conservation area in amherst.

Park in the small parking area by hop brook on station rd. in Amherst. Follow the Robert Frost trail.
It is a winding well-marked trail mostly on the outer edge of lawrence swamp. Beavers are very active in the area and you will cross a couple of dams on the way. The Amherst conservation commission has built bridges and walkways along the trail. You’ll notice that the brook bottoms are a white sand. That is the bottom of Lake Hickcock that covered the valley in prehistoric times.
Cache is a plastic coffee can. Gps signal is weak near the cache but you’ll see where you can get a good reading.
