[Nederlands] Kokopelli is een multi-cache route door "De
Pannekoek", een van de mooiste gebieden van de Brabantse Biesbosch.
Het gebied heeft een rijk vogelleven. Als je stil bent en goed om
je heen kijkt maak je een goede kans om een ijsvogel te zien,
zittend op een tak of laag boven het water vliegend. Wij hebben er
verscheidene malen een gezien. In het gebied komen ook hazen, reeën
en bevers voor.
Het is een niet al te lange wandeling, maar we denken dat je
aangenaam verrast zult zijn door de rust en de schoonheid van het
natuurgebiedje, vooral op een mooie zonnige dag rond zonsondergang.
Probeer op een door-de-weekse dag te gaan wanneer er weinig andere
mensen zijn.

De aanwijzing op dit waypoint zit onderaan op een wat dikkere
paal
en is op het ogenblik door plantenbegroeing wat moeilijker te
vinden. |

De cache is een tupperware-achtige doos van niet al te grote
afmetingen; neem dus alleen kleine ruilgoodies mee. Vergeet niet de
cache weer goed af te dekken!
Als je genoeg tijd hebt raden we aan om even een kijkje te nemen
op N 51º 45.966' E 004º 45.959'. We hebben dit punt niet in de
multi-cache route opgenomen omdat het bij hoge waterstanden
moeilijk of niet bereikbaar is. Dit punt is te vinden door tussen
waypoint 4 en 5 even af te wijken van het hoofdpad.
Vlakbij de parkeerplaats bevindt zich het prachtige Biesbosch
Museum, welke zeer zeker ook een bezoek waard is. En voor diegenen
die nog meer willen cachen heeft de Brabantse Biesbosch nog volop
te bieden, zoals o.a. de "Biesbosch" micro cache serie, "De
Bestemming" en "Maltha".

[English] Kokopelli is a multi-cache set out in one of
the most beautiful areas of the Biesbosch called "De Pannekoek"
(the pancake). The area has a rich birdlife. If you're quiet and
take a good look around you might be able to spot the colorful
Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis), sitting on a branch or flying
low over the water. We've seen one on several occasions. Beside
birds the area also hosts animals like hare, roedeer and
beaver.
It's a relatively short walk, but we think you'll be pleasantly
surprised by the serenity and beauty of the area. Especially on a
beautiful sunny day around sunset. Try to go on a weekday when
there aren't a lot of people in the area.

The clue at this waypoint is attached at the foot of a somewhat
thicker pole, and currently due to plantgrowth is a little harder
to find. |

The cache is a tupperware-like box of not too great a size, so
please bring only small trade items. And before leaving don't
forget to cover the cache well again.
If you have enough time, we recommend you take a look at N 51º
45.966' E 004º 45.959'. We didn't include this point in the
multi-cache route because it might be difficult or impossible to
reach when water levels are high, but it's definitely worth seeing.
You can find this point by taking a short side track from the main
path between waypoint 4 and 5
Near the parking place you'll find the beautiful Biesbosch
Museum which is also worth a visit. And for those seeking for more
caches the Brabantse Biesbosch area has a lot more to offer, like
the "Biesbosch" micro cache series, "De Bestemming", and
"Maltha"
