Winter Hours (beginning the last Sunday in October) are 8AM to 6PM. Summer Hours (beginning the first Sunday in April) are 8AM to 7:30PM. There is no entrace fee during the week. On weekends and holidays, the fee is $1 per person, children 6 and under free. Set aside some time to explore this beautiful urban oasis. The park features camping, hiking, picnic tables, grills, fishing, basketball, volleyball, and horseshoes. Dogs are allowed in most areas. Wear bug spray in the summer.
We are BIG fans of the movie Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, and it inspired the theme for our first cache. Enjoy this short and pleasant hike to the cache site. If possible, please leave something travel related or a travel souvenir in the cache. There is a waterproof log book and a disposable camera for you to record your visit.
The cache itself is a 1.1 gallon clear Rubbermaid container with a dark blue plastic lid. An official Geocaching sticker is on the lid. Please be sure to put the cache back in its original position, and covered with brush.
