Geocache Description:

Difficulty: 1.5
Terrain: 1.5 (1 mile roundtrip, fire road for most of the trip, off trail at end)

NOTE: this cache has been moved on April 6, 2004 by the new cache owner, Richard Amirault who was introduced to Geocaching by Bob Hogan

Bob has moved on to the big Geocache in the sky. The following description is mostly how Bob wrote it with corrections because of the cache location and container.

Lynn Woods is our first geocache. It's located in the Lynn Woods Reservation about 12 miles northeast of Boston, in Lynn. Take the Lynn exit for Rt. 129 East, exit 44B, off 128/95 and follow Rt 129 east for about 3 miles to a right turn onto Great Woods Road; there will be a sign on right for Lynn Woods Reservation. Park in lot adjacent to baseball fields (N 42 deg 29.590 W 070 deg 58.674 WGS- 84).

The entire reservation is crisscrossed with trails, so feel free to explore (good mountain biking, too, April-Dec). The entire hike is uphill along fire roads. As you near the goal, you'll see an old stone tower at the top of the hill that provides panoramic views to the south and west. Take a look at the view and enjoy!

The cache is a small green ammo box with the Geocaching sticker on the side.
