This virtual cache is the highest point of Bernalillo County. It has year-round vehicle access (fee for a parking permit) and a very short walk to the HP area. The altitude is 10,678 feet. On a clear day, the views are spectacular.
In order to claim this cache, you will need to post a photo as follows:
On the crest there is a rather large and unmistakable chunk of Mississippian Limestone. The top of this piece of limestone may be the actual top of the peak. Have your picture taken with your GPSr (with current readings showing on it) and the rock in the background. You may also wish to post a photo of yourself with the summit cairn. Whether you reach this cache by auto, tram, or trail, enjoy the area and the views!
