Geocache Description:

The Virtual Cache is located at the peak of one of the famous mountains in the Philippines, and one of the most popular spots in the country. It requires typically a days hike and possibly an overnight camp to reach this point. You will receive 12 full bar satellite readings if you are approximately standing on the actual Coordinates location

Before reaching this Cache point, you will be amazed how the area is so bald, yet luciously green and the "fields" are so vastly distributed, you would wonder if this is a golf course amongst the clouds. And you might even think these is the playground of the Gods. The elevation of the cache is 2935 meters above sea level. This is considered the highest point in the island of Luzon and second in the whole of the Philippines.

Best way to reach this cache is during the summer from March until May, and cold seasons between November to February. Rainy season will help in the coldness of the place.

There are actually several points of which you can arrive at this point, one of the easiest is to hire a Jeepney from Baguio City and request for arrival at a "ranger station". From there, you can easily walk about 2.5 hours maximum, since no vehicle can enter the site.

You will be however, required to pay some park fees and extra environmental and guide fees.

Temperature will be freezing cold during the night, so be prepard to bring along thermal piece of equipment and clothing.

To authenticate your find of this cache, please answer the following questions and some requests:

1) There is a "tombstone" marker at this cache, what is the mountaineering group that has included their logo?

2) Take a picture of your GPS near the "Tombstone" marker where the GPS coordinates would be visible.

3) Check out from the locals what the name of this place/mountain is and check out why it was called that name.

4) What are the 3 famous trails from this cache point going down?

Please email your answers to me. With your correct answers to the questions, you can then post your find after you receive my confirmation, and include the picture of your GPS.
