Geocache Description:

Park at the Honeybee Canyon parking lot along Rancho Vistoso Boulevard. It is under .5 mile to the cache from the parking lot. There is more than one route to the cahce site - one route goes through a beautiful canyon "narrows" after dropping down through a window in a dam. To minimize impact on the area, I advise trying to find one of the trails or follow the wash bottom. Trails from two directions lead to within 30' of the cache.

From the cache site, starting in the east and moving clockwise, you can see the entire range of the rugged Santa Catalinas including Pusch Ridge, the western end of the Santa Rita mountains, the Sierrita mountains, the main part of the Tucson Mountains and on all but the haziest days the observatory on top of distant Kitt Peak. On the way to and from the cache site you should also spot Sombrero and Panther peaks, and most of the nearby Tortolita range.

If you go near dusk you are almost guaranteed a serenade of coyotes and maybe even get the chance to spot a lone animal or a pack. Use caution during warm weather as I have seen more species of rattlesnakes in this park than I care to count(must be all the rocks).

Cache is a clear rubbermaid container.

PLEASE cover this cache so it is completely hidden from view. This spot can be frequented by many people on a nice weekend. I have checked on the cache twice so far and have found it in plain view the first time, and moved from the original location the second. It is a well hidden cache that could take some time to find, hence the 3 star overall difficulty rating.
