Creeks bed cut into pieces the limestone table-land in the north part of Bakony mountain chain. Here on the top of a cliff stands the castle ruin of Csesznek. This is the most picturesque ruin of Transdanubia. The castle determines the landscape, well seen from a long distance. This point is near the junction of main roads and the castle was built to watch and protect them. The exact time it was built is unknown, but chronicles mentioned about in 1281.

The ruins has been restored continuously from 1967, so sometimes it is closed if construction work needs. Nowadays it is closed again until March. But you can find a secret entry from backwards. The cache is outside, near the castle.

Good hunt, Anikó and Miklós
