Note: The posted coordinates do NOT contain a cache! They
only represent the theoretical midpoint of the various stages for
this cache.
From it's headwaters near Orangeville to the mouth at Port
Credit, this multi-cache will take you through the multiple parks
that dot the Credit River. Each of the stages is a standalone cache
and may be treated as such (trade and log). If you wish to find
this cache, you must collect the secret from each of the stage
caches (see links below). You can do the caches in any order, just
ensure that you note the secret to the cache you found it in (see
below). The secret is usually located on the inside of the cache
lid.
The cache container is a clear tupperware type container (10" x
6" x 4") with a cream lid. Please ensure that the lid is fully
seated when you are finished.
Please be cautious of the nearby Credit River!
Note: Some of the parks charge an access fee!
Write the secrets next to their respective caches in the tables
below. Find the matching 3 digit number from the 'Secret
Translation' table and write it in the designated spot in the
table. Once you have all of the cache secrets, you can calculate
the final cache coordinates as indicated in the tables.
If you are interested in more information about the Credit
River, Try this link Credit Valley Conservation.
If you are in the Belfountain area you can check out the actual
point (N43°48.179' by W79°59.690') where the West Credit and Credit
rivers join (The Forks of the Credit)
Thank you to Olar for placing the stage cache at Ken Whillans
for this project. He has also created a graphic
which shows the area map with the stage locations indicated.
