Geocache Description:

From the plaque, Route 40 left Sacramento and passed through Davis on several streets. Post a street name not posted in the last 3 posts.

A virtual for the Lincoln Highway locationless

Davis is an ag town surrounded by tomato fields. In 1920, much of the country between the two coasts was rural, with thousands of 40 acre farms. But there was no transcontinental highway connecting city and village and farm...until Route 40. The Lincoln Highway, US Route 40, journeyed west from New York City to San Francisco.

Remember to bring a big basket for the Davis Farmer's Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays!
