Geocache Description:

Easy day hiking trail, easy to find cache.

On your way up Dimple Hill? Check out this cache on the way! This is a super-easy cache we planted just off of Dan's Trail.

There are three approaches you could take to get to this cache:

The first and least adventurous is to start from Jackson Creek Drive, park in the super-small gravel lot and start walking west along the gravel road.

Second, you could start from the intersection of 29th and Arrowood in Timberhill. Park at the top of the hill, or go down Arrowood into the new housing development, drive up the hill, and park at the new partially paved path that leads into McDonald Forest. Either way, follow the paths N/NW until you hit a gravel road under some power lines then.. you're on your own. :-)

For those who seek a gratuitous all-afternoon caching event, start from the Lewisburg Saddle, which is a small parking lot at the crest of Dimple Hill and Vinyard Mountain. To get to the saddle follow Lewisburg Avenue west to the intersection of Lewisburg and Sulpher Springs Road, then follow Sulpher Spring Road N/NW a mile or two up the mountain. There will be ample parking on both sides of the road. Park, get out, and start walking west on the gravel Oak Creek Drive. You might want to have an OSU McDonald Forest map for this one. :-)
