Geocache Description:

The Texas Challenge is coming....Saturday, April 5th.

Texas Challenge! OK, Texas Geocachers! The Challenge is on for the top Geocaching Area in the Big State of Texas.

The challenge will be in Fort Parker State Park and the nearby Reunion Grounds near Mexia Texas (seems like the center of Texas would be a good place to hold it).

Registration starts at 9:00 am at the Reunion Grounds pavilion.

After the competition an awards ceremony will be held in the pavilion 'Command Center' at the Reunion Grounds. Trophy's for 1st through 3rd. Also shirts, hats and bags to be given away. Lest I forget we will chow down in the pavillion after the awards.

Look for the Welcome Geocachers Banner for the spot we are in. The park is located, 7 miles south of Mexia or 6 miles north of Groesbeck on State Highway 14; entrance is on Park Road 28. As with all Texas State Parks ther is a small entrance fee unless you have a Texas Park Passport. You can also camp at the park if you would like. For details see http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/park/fortpark/ .

Grab your group and start getting in shape. Post a note with what area you are representing. Any areas we have not included just join in. Raiders from out of state are welcome to.

As of this post 9Key (North Texas), MoosieGirl (Austin), ?(San Antonio) and UsMorrows (Southeast Texas) will be putting out the caches.

Post a note if you're up for the challenge!
If your area has not been mentioned let us know.
If you would like to help to put out the caches contact one of us listed above.

Thanks!
9Key, MoosieGirl, CacheReward, Cybercat and UsMorrows
