One way is approx. 6 km = 2 hours walk, very nice view from the top into the crater and over the landscape around.
Because it was a quite spontaneous activity we just left a 35 mm film container up there. We kindly ask the next person going up there to bring a suitable container and a stash note with him/her. For the efforts we left 5 EURO there.
Now some details:
Parking: N 29·01.407; W 013·43.952 (you can go further with a 4x4).
From there just follow the road for approx. 4 km. At N 29·02.841; W 013·44.920 turn right. Up the hill you find the path at N 29·02.675; W 013·44.014. Then just go to the highest point with the pole. From there it is 10 m down to the crater under a pile of stones, acessible from the lower side.
