Situated at One Tree Hill, this landmark and virtual cache
can be see from afar by the tall stone obelisk
at the summit of the hill.

"John Logan Campbell died a Knight of the British Empire at the age of 95, and was buried on the summit of One Tree Hill, as he had wished. In his will, Campbell had provided for the construction of an obelisk on the hill to commemorate his admiration for the Maori people..
