This stash is right off of Pennsylvania SR-2002. Careful not to miss this road. You will be on SR-3005 and it will fork off into SR-2002. This stash is in the Allegheny National Forest. The area is home to lots of wildlife. The sound of skittering squirrels and chipmunks can be heard all day long. Beware of the deer droppings =) Bring your climbing gear along, for as there is plenty of climbing in the area too.
The stash is in a white birdseed bucket. It contains lots of goodies and the log book of course. Here are a few hints. Park your car in the pull off area of SR-2002. There is only room for 2 cars in this pull off (N41 degrees 41.911' W079 degrees 15.150' ), but plenty of room along the road. Head towards the Tanbark trail and cross the little 1" x 4" plank bridge.This will get you on the trail. Do be careful on the trail, it gets slippery when wet with all the fallen leaves on it. Please note, many of the trail markers have been ripped off the trees. I am issuing a complaint with the forestry department about this. Hopefully it will be fixed by spring of 01'.
