Egg Traditional Geocache

Leek: Cache Permanently Archived in Protest...

I will be transferring this cache's details to the geocaching.com.au site and several other global cache sites very soon...

Personally I don't like the way that geocaching.com plays the game!!!

See http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=88291 for further reasons...

Geocache Description:

Egg

The lesser-spotted brown-footed cache bird has laid its egg and hidden it well to protect it from hungry lizards and goannas...

Cache Information
  • It's not a small egg, but not very big either (approx 10x5x5 cms)
  • Bring very small & soft swaps to avoid breaking the egg
  • The egg has a micro-pencil in it, but bring your own pen to sign the log-sheet - just in case
  • Please keep this cache kid-friendly - no sharp or unsafe objects

Family Information

  • A fairly kid friendly cache and an easy walk to the cache site. The terrain rating relates only to the final few metres.
  • Kids of 8+ could probably help with the final cache hunt, but younger kids will need to be supervised nearby.
  • Next to the car-park there's a park with a playground, picnic tables & wood-fire barbecues...
  • There's also a swimming pool, but I'm not sure if it's open to the public...

Other Activities

  • A good spot to practice rock climbing & abseiling
  • Don't miss the old well near the car-park. It's not much to look at, but an interesting piece of local history nevertheless
