A social gathering at the time the Sun will be furthest north this year.
A chance to meet and chat with other geocachers over a tea, coffee
or snack and enjoy great views over Seaford Head
and the Golf Course as the sun reaches its zenith.

Northern Hemisphere - Summer Solstice
Solstice...from the Latin “sol” (sun) and “sistere” (still or stopped)
In the Northern hemisphere, the Summer Solstice occurs when the sun is directly above the Tropic of Cancer,
This is the furthest the Sun appears to have travelled north and stops, before apparently moving southwards and getting lower in the sky.
Due to variations in the Earth's orbit this can occur on 21 or 22 June: this year it will occur at 15:57 on 21 June.
