Geocache Description:

Currently Nebraska's Second-Oldest Active Geocache!

Pretty simple. Grass may hide cracks in the land.

You'll find the usual pad and writing implements plus an Auto Spinner Air Freshener, a Tool Shop Flashlight, some Repel Insect Block (take it if you must or just use a little to get you back to the car!) Rayovac Penlight with batteries, Utility Knife, a Joe Satriani CD (great guitar), and a Jingle Dogs CD (all the classic Christmas songs barked by dogs. The second playing drives you up the wall.)

Lots of bugs, tall grass, and nettles etc. in the summer. Watch where you walk, there are holes and cracks in the ground, as well as some steep terrain.

Stop and listen to the birds. Might even see a deer or turkey.

Please park at the parking coordinates provided.  From there, it's a very short hike to the east, down the hill into the gulch.  Once at GZ, you'll have a bit of a climb.

Update 12-2-2010:  Original land and cache owner, CacheDeposit, has sold the property and moved out of state.  Ownership of the cache was transferred to GeoJudt to keep it going for years to come.

Update 12-4-2010:  At the new land owner's request, the cache was moved to a new area of the gulch.  The new location offers a beautiful view of the gulch as well as some natural springs running out of the banks!  There is a brand-new Hot Wheels DeLorean car in the cache for the first lucky finder at the new location!!

Update 1-7-2012:  There are now 3 containers within the original. One is a bag with the log. One is a plastic container for swag, and one more plastic container for trackables. Hopefully that will keep everything nice and dry, while preserving the original container.

Update 4-7-2012:  At the current land owner's request, the cache was moved off of their property and to a new location downstream in the gulch.  The new location is in a public area and offers another fantastic view with a rocky stream as well as more natural springs.  We spotted many deer tracks along the stream!
