DIAMOND IN THE CACHE
Location-Nord Park, Napoleon, N.D.
Pete Nord (1890-1961) came from Woonsstocket, S.D. to Napoleon, N.D. in 1906 and settled on a farm 5 miles east of Napoleon. Pete was always an ardent baseball fan and played baseball with the Napoleon team from 1906 to 1926.
Nord Park was named in Pete's honor and dedicated in 1955 with Mayor Vance Kroeber throwing the first ball.The huge wrecking ball painted like a baseball was donated and placed by his family. The fence surrounding the fields was erected in 1976 by the Napoleon Park Board.
A permanent marker will be needed to sign the log. The design of the cache container can not accept swag.
Please respect the container and put back together properly to keep everything weather proof.
Cache may be winter freindly depending on current year's snow level.
