Tree Care at Hucclecote Meadows SSSI
Parking: There is some on-street parking opposite Hucclecote Meadows Reserve on Laxton Road (or in many of the other side streets nearby).
Where: We will meet at 09:30 by the main entrance to the Reserve (see waypoint) or after that, find us working around the edges of the Meadows.
What: Join us as we care for the more recently planted trees in the hedgerows around Hucclecote Meadows SSSI. This will involve checking stakes and tree guards, hammering in and replacing these as necessary, as well as clearing any weeds from around the base of the trees.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance and tools. Please bring your own gardening gloves if possible and feel free to bring your own shears, loppers and secateurs if you wish. Don't worry if you don't have them as the Ranger will have a supply.
Health and Safety: The session will be covered by Council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please make sure you bring your own refreshments as it can be thirsty work. Homemade cake will be provided at breaktime!
