Why is Matt hosting?
Cherry is taking a well-earned year off after organising 11 great camping events, but don't worry, she'll be back next year! With her agreement I have picked up the baton for 2023 and so decided on a return to West Sussex after several years on the east side of the county. Who knows, maybe we will alternate each year now?

The Campsite.
This site is a bit smaller than we're used to, only 20 pitches in total, but I have managed to secure the whole site just for us from Friday to Sunday! This means we have a lovely big area in the middle of the campsite to play games and enjoy ourselves without disturbing any other campers, there is also a children's play area. Each pitch has an individual water tap and EHU, and the site has great toilet and shower facilities, including some that are wheelchair accessible. Washing up facilities are very good and there is site wide Wi-Fi for logging your cache finds promptly! Fire pits and BBQ's are also allowed but must be kept of the ground, bricks are available on site for this. Dead wood on the floor can be collected and burned but they don't sell firewood so you will need to bring your own.

What can I do while here?
There are lots of great cache walks in the area already and hopefully something new for the event weekend too. Slindon village has a small local shop and there is a local pub less than a mile away. Arundel and Chichester are just a short drive away as well.

On the Saturday afternoon from 15.00 there will be some games to join in, most likely Rounders or Quick Cricket.

From 19.30 I'll be hosting another Quiz Night, including a round of Playing Card Bingo! There will be a small entry fee of £2 per head which will be donated to a future UK Mega event in the South East, but there will be prizes!

Cost.
As it is just us on Friday and Saturday the cost is £37.50 per pitch per night. If I fill more than 15 pitches I can start to reduce this to as little as £30 if all 20 pitches sell. I will refund any overpayment on the weekend, unless you would like to make a kind donation to a future UK Mega Event.
* There are no additional costs for people, pets, awnings, gazebos, pup tents or showers!
** If you wish to stay on the Thursday night as well, the rate will be different so please let me know and I will adjust the price accordingly.

Booking.
Please email me directly at cachermattd2k@gmail.com with Camping Event as the Subject title. Please include the following information: If you require a Hardstanding pitch (these are limited and will be allocated on first come first served basis), how many of you the pitch is for, if you would like to be pitched near to anyone in particular. Payment is required in advance to me via BACS.

Non Campers
If you wish to attend the event without camping, you will be able to join us on site on the Saturday between 14.00-20.00. There is a £2 per person visitor charge. Please log a Will Attend to let me know you are coming as you will need the security code for the gates. You will also need to sign the campsite visitors book on arrival.
