O intuito desta cache é enaltecer e relembrar um dos festivais infantis mais proclamados que, até aos dias de hoje, cria e enfatiza vários clássicos para crianças. Percorrendo gerações e gerações nos ouvidos dos mais novos, a sua estrutura maior permanece intacta desde 1959, sendo "património para uma cultura de paz" através do reconhecimento da UNESCO no ano de 2008 aquando das suas bodas de ouro, simbolizando 50 anos de existência. 

              The purpose of this cache is to praise and remember one of the most proclaimed children's festivals that, until today, creates and emphasizes several children's classics. Traveling generations and generations in the ears of the youngest, its main structure has remained intact since 1959, being "heritage for a culture of peace" through UNESCO recognition in 2008 on its golden anniversary, symbolizing 50 years of existence.

Zecchino d'Oro ou Sequim d'Ouro em bom português, fazia referência a uma moeda antiga de ouro, prémio que era atribuído apenas aos compositores da música que triunfavam nesta competição infantil. Festival este que foi idealizado e criado pela musicista emblemática Niny Comolli e pelo apresentador de televisão italiano Cino Tortorella, o seu principal impulsionador, onde partilhavam o intuito de promover a música infantil e dar oportunidade a jovens talentos com a idade compreendida entre os 3 e 12 anos. A permanência à frente dos palcos, demonstrando a sua paixão e carácter entusiasma, foi alvo de condecoração pelo Guiness World Record, em 2002, por ser a pessoa que orientou o mesmo programa durante o tempo mais longo do mundo.

                Zecchino d'Oro or Golen Sequin in English referred to an old gold coin, a prize that was awarded only to the composers of the music that triumphed in this children's competition. This festival was conceived and created by the emblematic musician Niny Comolli and the Italian television presenter Cino Tortorella, its main driver, where they shared the aim of promoting children's music and giving opportunity to young talents aged between 3 and 12 years. His permanence in front of the stages, demonstrating his passion and enthusiastic character, was awarded by the Guinness World Record, in 2002, for being the person who guided the same program for the longest time in the world.

É importante frisar que este festival só ganhou o cognome de internacional quando, em 1978, expandiu os seus horizontes e integrou intérpretes e músicas de outros países tendo de possuir parte da letra em italiano, algo desafiador para crianças de tenra idade. Desde aí ganhou uma expansão mundial, atingindo todos os anos mais de 100 países, incluído Portugal que nos anos 80, por interveniente da RTP, transmitia e encantava muitas famílias com esta competição infantil em pleno dia de Natal.

Since then, it has expanded worldwide, reaching more than 100 countries every year, including Portugal, which in the 1980s, via RTP, broadcast and enchanted many families with this children's competition on Christmas Day.

Realizado no teatro Antoniano em Bolonha, em Itália, é anualmente transmitido na quadra natalícia onde as pequenas estrelas são sempre acompanhadas por um coro infantil denominado "Picolo Coro Mariele Ventre dell' Antoniano" criado por Mariele Ventre, tendo recebido o seu nome após o seu falecimento em 1995. Este, ao longo dos anos, tem sido orientado por figuras de renome no mundo da música italiana, sendo uma das principais imagens de marca deste festival. Tal aspeto não passou despercebido ao mundo do cinema, tendo protagonizado um filme sobre a temática. Além disso, a 19 de Março de 2022, este coro recebeu um prestigiado discurso de agradecimento sob as palavras do Papa Francisco, gratificando a sua permanência na vida infantil e conectando famílias e gerações de vários e diferentes países.

Apesar do seu reconhecimento e popularidade internacional estar em decadência, é gratificante expor que o Zecchino D´Oro mantém-se fiel às suas origens e, sem grandes alterações, as crianças e as canções infantis continuam a ser a maior contribuição para o ganho desta literacia musical italiana e mundial.
