Geocache Description:

Adopted by Blue Power Ranger 07/09/2007

A very strenuous hike with incredible views to a virtual cache!

This virtual cache is located at 10,072' and requires traversing the Muir snowfield. Depending upon the conditions, you may need an ice axe and/or various other climbing gear and the skill to use them. Altogether, it's a 9 mile hike. The cache is located 4,672' above the trailhead. If the weather is clear, you will be treated to a most incredible view of the Tatoosh range, Mt Adams, Mt St Helens, Mt Hood and possibly Mt Jefferson.

Please plan carefully and equip yourself properly before attempting this cache.

Original Cache Requirement:
The goal is to locate a sign which says:
This Structure Was Funded
Through Collections Received
Through The "Mountaineering
Cost Recovery Program."
This Is An Example Of Your
Climbing Permit Dollars
At Work.

Current Cache Requirement:
Updated 07/09/2007 - Since the originally required sign is no longer in existence, please instead locate the handicapped sign at the same coordinates. (yes, there is a reason and story behind it)

If you visited camp Muir attempting this while the original sign was missing, a simple picture of you in the area will suffice. The point of this cache is to enjoy the trek and visit to Camp Muir.
