I have become a bit of a puzzle fan. Mostly what I used to do was math based puzzles. While Mrs. Trekkie prefers traditional Sudokus, I tend to do other variations like Killer, Diagonal, Greater or even an occasional Samurai Sudoku. And more recently Geocache puzzle solving has taught me about ciphers. Everything from the basic Substitution Cipher (commonly called a Cryptogram) to the more complicated Caesarian shift. There are also encryptions that do transformations based on some sort of grid.
So I decided it might be fun to mix a couple of my puzzle styles together and come up with a unique puzzle. Since this is a made up cipher, I doubt any online solver will help. But once you determine the technique I used to create this puzzle the answer should appear before you with no additional manipulation.
