Der Alp Rohr Cache (1445 m.ü.M) liegt im wunderschönen Alpstein. Der Cache ist leicht erreichbar und es gibt verschieden Bergrestaurants in der nähe.
The Alp Rohr Cache 1445 m.ü.M)is hidden in the beautiful Alpstein area. Its easy to reach the cache an there are different mountain-restaurants nearby.
Der Alp Rohr Cache ist auf verschiedene Arten zu erreichen. Es ist möglich vom Hohen Kasten abzusteigen, direkt von Brülisau über das Plattenbödeli den Cach zu erreichen oder die Variante von Sennwald aus zu wählen, welche wir hier näher beschreiben. Von Sennwald dem Wegweiser Alp Rohr folgen bis die befestigte Strasse fertig ist. Hier kann das Auto parkiert werden und es geht zu Fuss (oder mit dem Bike) auf einer unbefestigten Strasse weiter zur Alp Rohr. Für diesen Aufstieg benötigt man ca. 45 Minuten. Die Alp Rohr ist während den Sommermonaten bewirtet. Von der Alp Rohr geht es weiter auf einem Wanderweg Richtung Hoher Kasten / Staubern. Nach ca. einer halben Stunde erreicht man die Höhe des Cach. In einer Linkskurve (von unten gesehen) ist eine auffällige Wandermarkierung an einem Baum (weiss-rot-weiss). Hier wird der Weg verlassen und es geht über Felsblöcke ca. 80m in Richtung 74° E. Der Cache ist ein roter Metallkoffer, der mit Steinen zugedeckt ist. Wenn viel Schnee liegt ist der Cache nicht erreichbar (Lawinengefahr). Gut Wanderschuhe sind empfehlenswert.

There are different ways to reach the Alp Rohr cache. You can go dawn from the Hohen Kasten, you can take the way from Brülisau via Plattenbödeli or you choose the path from Sennwald to reach the cache. We describe here the way from Sennwald. Follow the signs from Sennwald in the direction of Alp Rohr until the street ends. There is a car park and from there you may walk (or take the bike) to Alp Rohr. It takes you 45 minutes to reach the Alp Rohr. During summertime the restaurant is open and you can get some excellent specialities from the Rheintal. From the Alp Rohr you must take the footpath in the direction of Hoher Kasten / Staubern. Within 30 minutes you can reach the altitude of the cache. There is a white-red-white mark (usual mark for trekking paths in Switzerland) on a tree, nearby a left turn. Here you have to leave the path and climb over some big stones (easy) in the direction 74° east. After 80 meters you are in the area of the cache. The Alp Rohr cache is a red steelcase and it is covered with stones. You can’t reach the cache if there is to much snow (avalanches). We recommend good hiking shoes.
