A bit of local mining history.
This is a headframe used to by the miners to get into and out of the mine. It was also used to remove the ore from the mine. The plaque in front contains description of the mining operation, a cross-section diagram of the mine and a couple of pictures.
In order to verify your visit, you need to EMAIL ME the following information:
1. According to the plaque diagram, how many sublevels did level 4 have?
2. What year was the earlier picture taken?
3. What year was the more recent picture taken?
And, for EXTRA CREDIT:
4. According to the plaque, what kind of ore was mined here?
