[DE] Wer auf der Bundesstraße 12 von Mühldorf nach Haag oder in der Gegenrichtung unterwegs ist, sieht sie schon von weitem: Eine auffällge, weiße Kirche mit großer zentraler Kuppel und einem offenen Glockenturm, die direkt aus dem Mittelmeerraum ins Oberbayerische verpflanzt zu sein scheint. Doch wer nimmt sich die Zeit, die Schnellstraße zu verlassen und sich die Kirche anzusehen? Zumindest wir Geocacher sollten das einmal tun, denn jetzt gibt es hier eine Dose.
Ein paar Informationen zur Kirche: Sie ist der Hl. Maria geweiht und wurde 1628 im Auftrag Herzog Albrecht VI. von Bayern zunächst nach dem Vorbild des "Santa Casa" im italienischen Wallfahrtsort Loreto errichtet. Im Jahr 1782 wurde Papst Pius VI. auf seinem Weg nach München hier von Kurfürst Karl Theodor empfangen - ein Ereignis, auf das man in Ramsau noch heute stolz ist. Das Langhaus mit der markanten Kuppel wurde 1859 angebaut. Der Cache befindet sich außerhalb von Kirche und Friedhof und ist auch von Rollstuhlfahrern unmittelbar zu erreichen. Bitte achtet auf Muggel und verhaltet euch unauffällig! In unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es eine Bank zum Rasten und Loggen. Bitte die Dose unbedingt wieder tarnen!
[EN] If you are traveling on the B 12 from Mühldorf to Haag or in the opposite direction, you can see it from afar: A striking, white church with a large central dome and an open bell tower, which seems to have been transplanted directly from the Mediterranean to Upper Bavaria. But who takes the time to get off the highway and visit the church? At least we geocachers should do that once, because now a traditional cache is hidden here.
Some information about the church: It is dedicated to St. Mary and was built in 1628 on behalf of Duke Albrecht VI of Bavaria based on the "Santa Casa" in the Italian place of pilgrimage Loreto. In 1782 Pope Pius VI was received here by Electoral Prince Karl Theodor on his way to Munich - an event that people in Ramsau are still proud of today. The cache is located outside the church and cemetery and can also be reached directly by wheelchair users. Please watch out for muglars and behave inconspicuously! In the immediate vicinity there is a bench for resting and logging. Please camouflage the box again!
