A Celebration of Vogon Poetry
"Oh freddled gruntbuggly,
Thy micturitions are to me,
As plurdled gabbleblotchits,
On a lurgid bee..."
According to The Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, Vogons are "one of the most unpleasant races in the galaxy—not actually evil, but bad-tempered, bureaucratic, officious and callous". Their poetry is considered to be the third worst in the universe, behind that of the Azgoths of Kria, and Paula Nancy Millstone Jennings of Essex.
As such, their poetry is seldom read out in public performances. Therefore on Saturday 4th February (4/2 - when else?) at the lay-by on the Ford by-pass (where else?) we will have an event for hitch-hikers, geocachers and other such ne'er-do-wells, to read Vogon poetry and other similar classics.
There is a cafe in the layby for those who want something almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea.*
You may wish to bring ear plugs, and of course you will need to ensure you know where your towel is!
