After a long geocaching day a long way from home, we'll need a pint or two. Join us on Friday, November 18th, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the Seaside Brewing Company for some beer (or other beverage of your choice) and international geochat. We will even do a small raffle with Slovenian trackable prizes. Your chance of winning is considerable (albeit depending on the turnout 😊).
We are geocachers from Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. A small green country bordered by Austria (N), Hungary (E), Croatia (S) and Italy (W). See map below. Commonly mistaken for Slovakia, which is approximately 894 straight line power-trail caches to the NE on the other side of Hungary.
We live in the same neighbourhood, and our paths were crossing briefly now and then in pre-geocaching life (bojank and icabrian live on the same block three houses apart while sons of kompaski and icabrian were classmates in primary school). We probably wouldn't have become friends and travelled together without geocaching. And yet here we are, having fun on a short tour of legendary geocaching places in the Pacific Northwest. A nice story. But, we are confident, not in any way unique in geocaching. We are active members of the Slovenian Geocaching Club and were actively involved in hosting the first mega-event in Slovenia.
Now, come to our event and tell us something about yourself.
