ITA: Nel quartiere San Giovanni, un murale di 18 metri ritrae Francesco Totti, storico capitano e attaccante della AS Roma. Il murale sorge a breve distanza da Via Vetulonia dove il capitano giallorosso è nato e cresciuto. L'autore del murale è lo street artist romano "Lucamaleonte", che ha impiegato tre giorni per la realizzazione dell’opera, eseguita a pennello con un risultato visivo che mutua la tecnica incisoria quattrocentesca ed è stato realizzato con vernici organiche ecosostenibili. Il ritratto, ha dunque un’indubbia valenza artistica, ma anche simbolica: a completare l’opera è la scritta "Vecchio a chi?", che ha lo scopo invitare a riflettere sull’idea di vecchiaia; in un mondo, il nostro, dove essere anziani è motivo di svantaggio sociale e di esclusione, approfondire il senso del tempo che passa, anche per i campioni e i miti contemporanei, è di grande valore educativo, e il fatto che sia il Capitano giallorosso, uno dei giocatori più longevi nella storia del calcio, fa apprezzare ancora di più l’opera di Lucamaleonte, lungimirante nella scelta del soggetto, o meglio del "mito contemporaneo" più apprezzato dai tifosi della AS Roma.
ENG: In San Giovanni district, an 18-meter mural potrays Francesco Totti, the historic captain and striker of AS Roma. The mural stands nearby "Via Vetulonia" where the Giallorossi captain was born and raised. The author of the mural is the Roman street artist "Lucamaleonte", who took three days to create the work, done with a brush with a visual result that borrows from the fifteenth-century engraving technique and was made with eco-sustainable organic paints. The portrait, therefore, has an undoubted artistic value. But it has also a symbolic one, in fact, to complete the work is the inscription "Vecchio a chi?" (old man to whom?), which aims to launch a reflection on the idea of old age: in a world, ours, where being elderly is a reason for social disadvantage and exclusion, deepen the sense of time that passes, even for contemporary champions and myths, is of great educational value. And the fact that he is the Giallorossi captain, one of the longest-lived players in football history, makes us appreciate even more the work of Lucamaleonte, far-sighted in the choice of the subject, or rather the "contemporary myth" most appreciated by the AS Roma fans.
