Geocache Description:

06 August 2022, 10:00 - 11:00

Let's go on a hike!!!

When: Saturday, August 6 @ 10:00-11:00 AM Mountain Time

Where: Maah Daah Hey Trail near Medora, ND/Bully Pulpit Golf Course

What: We will meet at the Bully Pulpit Trail parking lot. At 10:15 or so we will begin our hike on the trail. We are hoping to walk toward Sully Creek State Park on a section of the trail without too much elevation changes.  We can also determine exact route/distance once all participants have arrived. Walk as much or as little as you can/will or follow the crowd for a group adventure.  You will have to enter Sully Creek State Park at some point to access the trailhead signin.

Please post a Will Attend if you plan to participate so we know you are coming.

For the second year, the North Dakota Park & Recreation Department (NDPRD) has issued a statewide “12 Months – 12 Hikes” challenge. To participate, just pick and hike one of the 21 qualifying trails. The trails are located in 13 participating state parks and you have the entire month to complete a hike. You can complete your hikes all in one park or explore any of 13 locations across the state. New this year: If you miss a hike/month, you can complete 1 of the 3 bonus hikes.

The North Dakota Geocaching Association (NDGCA) would like to help everyone complete the hiking challenge. To do this, we will be hosting an event in a different state park each month, so we can get together with other geocachers.

A daily pass ($7) or annual ND state park pass ($35) is required to enter. Dress appropriately for the weather/trails, and maybe bring a water!
