About SideTracked Caches
This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the SideTracked Series since the first cache was placed at Evesham by bikermel76 in 2007 (https://coord.info/GC15082)
Traditionally, we usually hold a one-day anniversary day on 10 August, with events and profile badges being made available to anyone who attended an event or found a SideTracked cache on this date. This year we’re doing things different than usual; by having a week-long celebration! We’ve listened to all the comments from previous years and acknowledge that where our ‘day’ falls on a weekday, can make it difficult for some people to be able to schedule a find, host or even attend a SideTracked Event.
Mega Event dates also can throw a spanner in the works, so we are hoping that by having a week-long celebration this year, we can accommodate more days for our supporters to celebrate with us.
The week-long celebration will kick off on Sunday 7 August and will run through to Saturday 13 August 2022.
We’re inviting SideTracked supporters to help us to celebrate this fantastic milestone by helping us expand the SideTracked Series even more by placing a SideTracked cache at any eligible current or former stations and asking your reviewer to publish this during SideTracked Week. We’re also looking for event hosts to organise SideTracked events in your local area to allow other supporters to join in our 15th Anniversary celebrations.
