La chapelle Saint-Joachim, cachée boulevard Flaud est implantée sur l’emplacement primitif de l'église paroissiale de Saint-Malo (XI ème siècle). Elle fut démantelée vers 1488 lors du conflit opposant les troupes bretonnes et françaises. C’est à cette date que fut édifiée intra-muros l’actuelle église Saint-Malo. La chapelle n'est pas totalement détruite mais réduite à un tiers de sa taille initiale.
L’édifice restauré est placé sous le vocable de Saint-Joachim, et consacré le 19 juillet 1896. Des éléments architecturaux subsistent de l'édifice roman primitif comme les chapiteaux datant sans doute du XII ème siècle.
Des pierres tombales présentes au pied de l'édifice, retrouvées lors de fouilles dans les années 1970, témoignent de l’ancien cimetière attaché à la paroisse primitive. Ces pierres tombales portent des marques de marchands, mais aussi des symboles de drapier comme une paire de ciseaux évoquant ainsi le riche passé commercial de Dinan.
Ouverture de la chapelle (la cache est à l'extérieur):
- du 01 octobre au 31 mars: le jeudi de 11h à 16h30 et le samedi de 11h à 16h30
- du 01 avril au 30 septembre: le jeudi de 11h à 18h et le samedi de 10h à 18h

The Saint-Joachim chapel, hidden in Boulevard Flaud, is located on the original site of the parish church of Saint-Malo (11th century). It was dismantled around 1488 during the conflict between the Breton and French troops. It was at this time that the present-day church of Saint-Malo was built within the walls. The chapel was not totally destroyed but reduced to a third of its original size.
The restored building was placed under the vocation of Saint Joachim and consecrated on 19 July 1896. Architectural elements remain from the original Romanesque building, such as the capitals, which probably date from the 12th century.
Tombstones at the foot of the building, found during excavations in the 1970s, bear witness to the former cemetery attached to the primitive parish. These tombstones bear merchants' marks, but also draper's symbols such as a pair of scissors, thus evoking Dinan's rich commercial past.
Opening of chapel (the cache is outside):
- from 01 October to 31 March: Thursdays from 11am to 4.30pm and Saturdays from 11am to 4.30pm
- from 01 April to 30 September: Thursdays from 11am to 6pm and Saturdays from 10am to 6pm
