WELCOME to Langdon Park in Ward 5, just one of DC's 375 Department of Parks & Recreation parks. Langdon Park is home to the Chuck Brown Memorial and the annual Go-Go concert. We hope you'll come out and help us welcome Summer to DC and its many parks.
So please join us in the Langdon Park parking lot, and remember to bring your discoverables and tradables; your geocaching stories; and your puzzle questions and hints. Peter Williamson with Game Genius (a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization) will also be there. Game Genius focuses narrowly on the Washington, DC region; one of its major events is an annual puzzle hunt in the DMV area.
We'll provide coffee, donuts and water (in case you might still be waking up).
We will also have a few give-away items for a FREE drawing during the Event.
At the end of this Event we'll post a new Adventure Lab in the park, and hopefully a Bonus Cache will be published. All those that are interested may complete the AL as a group and log the Bonus Cache as a group FTF.
Like all Geocaching Events, this Welcome Summer Event is open to all geocachers -- experienced, novices, or just the curious. Everyone will be welcomed, not just by the event hosts, but by all the proud DMV geocachers who want to share their love for geocaching with others. So, PLEASE JOIN US, and bring your family, and/or your friends and introduce them to Geocaching!
REMINDER: COVID-19 is still with us and experiencing an increase in cases in some areas. Please be mindful of others, practice social distancing, consider wearing a mask if appropriate, and be respectful of those who choose to wear a mask. Help us to make this a safe EVENT for all.
