Perguntas para responder - questions to answer
a) Com arestas e ângulos definidos? b) Com bolas visíveis? c) Completamente lisa?
No ponto auxiliar, WP1.
To claim this earthcache one should send me, through my profile and BEFORE any found log, the answers to the following questions. If something is incorrect I'll contact you. There is no need to wait for any authorization. Please do not send photos. These are more useful on the log.
At ground zero, published coordinates, the statue of Father António Vieira can be seen. At the base of the statue, the plinth, where you can see the travertine slab and, on the side facing the Museum of São Roque. To answer the questions use photo spoiler 1.
1 - According to spoiler photo 1, what color (or shape) covers the largest cavity (pore)?
2 - In that cavity you have identified. How is the interior surface?
a) With defined edges and angles? b) With visible balls? c) Completely smooth?
At the auxiliary point, WP1. The cladding boards covering the ground floor facade of nº64.
3 - Comparing with the porosity of the plates at point zero and based on what is written in the text, what is the correct hypothesis about the origin of the rocky plates?
a) both are from cold hot spring. b) both are from hot spring. c) Those at ground zero are from a cold thermal source and from point WP1 are from a hot thermal source. d) Those at ground zero are from hot thermal spring and point WP1 are from cold thermal source.
4 (optional) - Assuming that there is a directly proportional relationship between the red of the rock and the content of iron oxide present. Which travertine has the most iron oxide? The one of the statue or the facade of nº64? Explain.
Mandatory:
A photo for each log. Or clearly identified (a selfie) at ground zero or if you don’t wish a photo at ground zero that shows your nickname, date of visit and the gccode near the letters: Padre. Please do not reveal the answers with this photo. Thank you for your visit.
