De Sallandse Heuvelrug zit vol met allerlei dieren. In de nacht snuffelen en spelen ze, maar overdag verstoppen ze zich vaak voor de mensen. Jammer dat je niet kan zien welke dieren er op de Sallandse Heuvelrug zijn!
Er is een manier om toch te zien welke dieren er op de Sallandse Heuvelrug zijn. Hoe dan? Signal weet het antwoord: dieren laten sporen na en elk dier heeft zijn eigen spoor. Een spoor kan een pootafdruk zijn, maar ook zijn poep of een nest of een holletje.
Mensen laten ook sporen na: je voetafdruk kan je in het zand zien. Helaas zie je in het bos ook afval en andere sporen van mensen liggen. Signal hoopt dat je voetafdruk het enige spoor is dat jij als mens achterlaat in het bos.
Laten we eens kijken welke dieren er in dit bos te vinden zijn. Ga je mee op pad?
Wat heb je nodig om te beginnen?
- Jouw telefoon met de Geocaching app (dit kan ook op je GPS) én de Adverture Lab app (dit kan alleen op je telefoon).
- Een volle powerbank met USB-uitgang
- Een uitgeprint informatieblad (of kijk op je telefoon)
Hieronder staat een informatieblad met de sporen die verschillende dieren achterlaten in het bos. Je kan deze thuis uitprinten (tip!) of op je telefoon meenemen.

Ga naar het eerste punt dat gegeven is in de waypoints van de multi (Geocaching app of je GPS).
Zoek op die plek naar een spoor van een dier (hint: routepaaltje) en bepaal welk dier dit spoor heeft achtergelaten. Op je informatieblad vind je meer informatie over dit dier. Deze informatie heb je nodig om vragen te beantwoorden. De vragen vind je in de Adventure Lab app, de lab adventure die je nodig hebt heeft dezelfde naam als deze multi (of klik hier). Je moet naar een bepaald coördinaat lopen om de vraag te kunnen openen en te beantwoorden in je app. Bij het juiste antwoord krijg je in de app een volgend coördinaat. Na twee vragen over een bepaald dier moet je op zoek naar een nieuw spoor. Let dus goed op als je onderweg bent!
Alle coördinaten, zowel fysiek als de virtuele zijn te vinden in de waypoints van de multi (via de Geocaching app) en de virtuele vragen zijn te vinden in de Adventure Lab app. De informatie die je nodig hebt om de vragen te beantwoorden kan je vinden op het informatieblad en in de Adventure Lab app.
Algemene informatie
De route is ongeveer 3,5km en geschikt om met kinderen te doen. De route loopt voornamelijk langs zandpaden, die met een kinderwagen soms misschien moeilijk begaanbaar zijn i.v.m. wortels of de breedte van het pad.
Parkeren kan bij de opgegeven parkeer coördinaten.

The Sallandse Heuvelrug is filled with all kinds of animals. At night they sniff and play, but during the day they often hide from people. Too bad you can't see which animals there are on the Sallandse Heuvelrug!
There is a way to see which animals there are on the Sallandse Heuvelrug. How? Signal knows the answer: animals leave tracks and each animal has its own track. A track can be a paw print, but also its poo or a nest or a hole.
People also leave traces: you can see your footprint in the sand. Unfortunately, you also see waste and other traces of people in the forest. Signal hopes that your footprint is the only trace that you as a human leave in the forest.

What do you need to get started?
- A phone with the Geocaching app (you could also use a GPS) and the Adventure Lab app (only on mobile phones)
- A fully charged power bank with a USB port
- A printout of the information sheet (or you could use your phone)
An information sheet with the tracks that different animals leave behind in the forest can be found below this text. You can print it out at home (tip!) or take it with you on your phone.

Go to the first point given in the waypoints of the multi (geocaching app or your GPS).
Look for the tracks of an animal at that location (hint: route marker) and determine which animal has left these tracks. On your information sheet, you will find more information about this animal. You will need this information to answer questions. The questions can be found on the Adventure Lab app, the lab adventure you need has the same name as this multi (or click here). You have to walk to a certain coordinate to be able to open and answer the question in your app. If the answer is correct, you will receive the next coordinate in the app. After two questions about a specific animal, you have to look for a new track. So pay close attention to your surroundings!
All coordinates, both physical and virtual, can be found in the waypoints of the multi (in the Geocaching app) and the virtual questions can be found in the Adventure Lab app. The information you need to answer the questions can be found on the informationsheet or in the Adventure Lab app.
General information
The route is about 3.5 km and is suitable for children. The route mainly runs along sandy trails, which may sometimes be difficult to access with a pram due to roots or the width of the path.
Parking is available at the specified parking coordinates.
