When we recently came to the park to enjoy some caching and hiking, we were shocked to see the state of these woods. The conditions in the area right next to this parking area was just about the worst we've ever seen. Instead of just leaving and forgetting about it, we decided we would do something about it.
Working with the head of Park Maintenance, Andy Vachon, we set up this CITO to at least start the process of cleaning up this unique park.
We will concentrate just on the area adjacent to soccer fields parking lot.
Vinyl gloves and trash bags will be supplied by Park Maintenance. They will also haul away what we collect. You're welcome to bring heavier duty gloves if you have them.
This is a big job so please feel free to bring family and friends!!!
Most importantly, we will provide water and treats to help fuel up before we get to work! Feel free to bring trackables to trade as well.
